The online UI/UX Design Diploma program at ABM College will teach you how to build an interactive website, design an intuitive app, or develop complex web templates.
Standard Admission
Students must have a Canadian High School Diploma or equivalent with verified transcript, or a General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) plus a successful interview with ABM College administration.
Mature Admission
- The following criteria is required for admission: 18 years of age, 15 on Wonderlic Scholastic Level Aptitude Exam (SLE), or 33 credits towards a Canadian high school diploma, verified by transcript, and successful interview with ABM College administration.
2 - Adobe Illustrator
- Students create scalable computer graphics with Adobe illustrator, learn about best practices, and prepare documents for output to print, web, and video.
3 - Visualization Techniques
- This course covers critical thinking strategies for effective graphic design and explores its effectiveness in various settings. Students will learn how to sketch concepts by hand before digital content creation.
4 - Introduction to Web Development
- Students will learn how to hand code web pages according to standards using HTML plus style text and content with CSS, and the basics of JavaScript and Document Object Model.
5 - Adobe XD (User Experience Design Essentials)
- This course covers Adobe XD, an essential tool for User Interface Design (UI) and User Experience Design (UX).
7 - Adobe Illustrator II
- Students will create intricate projects using different tools, drop-down menus, and panels, and will use a perspective grid, clipping mask creation, object rotations, pattern creations, and moving projects.
8 - UI / UX Strategies
- Students will learn about UI / UX strategy used for the development of new media and strategies for using various design applications (building UI elements).
9 - Information Architecture
- This course manages issues such as search engine optimization integration into an operative information order, web usability results and user experience issues, and production of web and mobile site maps.
