General information

Horizon Air Conditioning LTD was started on 1st April 1990. From our original turnover of £400,000 this has gradually risen to its current level of £1.4 million. The principal management team has over 80 years in the HVAC field.

All site staff are fully trained Air Conditioning engineers that deal with commercial and domestic installation and maintenance, we specialize in bringing energy efficient Air Conditioning solutions to your home, office or store.

All of the Air Conditioning systems supplied and installed have an energy rating of A or B, we supply only the best and most well known ranges of products and all our engineers are factory trained with each manufacture.

All of our engineers have either completed the 2079 F-Gas qualifications or qualified for the F-Gas card.

Activities Carried Out

We undertake full design, implementation, contracting, commissioning, service and maintenance of all aspects of our Retail, Commercial and Residential Air Conditioning systems including electric heating systems, heat recovery systems, toilet extraction systems and general extractions systems, we also include within this the supply of extraction canopy systems for commercial kitchens and public toilets.

The core activity which represents 70% of our work load is the installation of air conditioning and Ventilation systems within either commercial offices or shop and store installations, the remaining 20% is made up with domestic Air Conditioning such as high end users conservatories, bedrooms and loft conversions, this figure is also supplemented with our Ventilation works.

We also provide kitchen extraction systems, complete with canopy manufacturer including, where required, ultraviolet filtration, fire suppression and carbon filtration. We also provide spiral or rectangular ductwork fan selection and design.

Service and maintenance is carried out throughout of the UK and Ireland and we represent a number of major retailers which have outlets throughout the UK within this field. This represents 10% of our yearly turnover. We also provide a CAD drawing facility where we design and promote the use of highly efficient inverter driven electric heat pump air conditioning units.

We are registered installers for Toshiba, Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Sanyo, Hitachi, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Panasonic, Airwell, LG and Samsung.

For costumers we provide full range of HVAC systems for Farmfoods, Works Bookstore, French Connection, Quiz Fashion, Phase Eight, Hawes & Curtis, Chisholm Hunter Jewelers and Majestic Wines, Schuh, Jones the Bootmaker, Toast, Toni & Guy, Thomas Sabo, Dune, Oliver Bonas, Store 21, Sweaty Betty, Merry Hill Shopping Centre and West Midlands Ambulance Service. We also provide planned service and maintenance for many of these customers.

Variable Refrigeration Volume Systems

We provide a full design and installation for variable refrigeration flow systems and both 2 pipe heat pump and 3 pipe heat recovery inverter driven electric systems. These systems generally feature in larger department stores and offices.

We are accredited installation holders for Daikin, Sanyo, Toshiba, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Samsung and LG Electronics.

Refrigeration Recovery

In line with the required replacement of refrigerant 22 systems currently in operation in the UK, we are currently undertaking a programme of replacement air conditioning installations for our clients, using replacement technology, where the indoor cassette and outdoor condenser are replaced and the existing pipework re-used, saving cost and time for the end user.

Kitchen Extraction Systems

We have designed and installed kitchen extraction systems and replacement air services including UV filtration, carbon filter management systems at the Robin RNB Club in Wolverhampton, the Sea Life Centre in Birmingham, Social Services Kitchens in Wolverhampton, Marks & Spencer’s Café, Love Coffee, James Watt College – Birmingham, BB’s Coffee & Muffins, The Natural History Museum in London, Walsall Catering College and Casinos in Dudley, West Bromwich and Birmingham.
