General information

WMIDMUN is the middle school conference of the William & Mary International Relations Club. Founded in 2002, WMIDMUN is among the largest and most prestigious conferences of its kind in the nation, welcoming over 800 delegates to campus from across Virginia and the United States to participate in a weekend of debate and diplomacy. The only college in the country to annually host a middle school, high school, and college model UN conference, William & Mary offers an exceptionally experienced staff whose goal is to ensure that our delegates get the most out of their conference experience by achieving their highest potential. Hosted on scenic Old Campus in some of the very same academic buildings Thomas Jefferson once studied in, WMIDMUN offers the perfect setting for delegates to learn and debate world affairs. We hope that in garnering an appreciation for these important issues in middle school, our delegates will continue to pay close attention to the challenges facing our world and go on to become globally minded citizens. Spanning the course of three days, our conference offers our delegates not only the opportunity to build friendships as they debate and draft resolutions in the committee room, but also to build upon those friendships at our numerous social events, including a Friday night social, delegate dance, and more. We work very hard to ensure that while our delegates are learning incredibly important lessons and skills, they’re having a wonderful time doing it....
