A wood primer is usually a bit cheaper than the floor lacquer, it has high levels of acrylic content and it is great for sealing the wood surface and masking small imperfections generated by the sanding process. Basically the product is sold with a hardener that makes it very durable, quick drying and it hardens up the wood surface. Also, the new Chimiver ECOPRIME HS 120 CROM | Solvent Effect Primer is a toning wood primer, it creates a darker colour on very bright types of wood floors like the maple wood or white deal. This is a professional quality wood primer and it was designed for use on very high traffic wood floors. The product penetrates the wood in full and it hardens up inside the wood floor. It looks extraordinary, it is very durable and it reduces the time required to complete a project. It can be successfully used to prime all hardwood floors, semi solid wood floors, wood worktops, some wood furniture and other types of unsealed wood surfaces. Use it to prime any type of unsealed wood surface and make sure to only apply it to raw wood surfaces or wooden surfaces that were sanded. If a surface requires sanding, please start with 40 grit sanding paper and go up to 100 grit sanding paper but make sure not to skip grits (40,60,80 & 100). A professional floor sanding company can skip some of the grits but only if you are an expert at it. As you have noticed, the new Chimiver ECOPRIME HS 120 CROM | Solvent Effect Primer is a two pack wood primer so the primer and the hardener have to be mixed up together and allowed to bond for about 10 minutes. Make sure that you have enough product to cover the whole surface and also avoid mixing up more wood primer than needed. Any unused wood primer that got mixed up with the hardener will be useless within 2-4 hours.

1. Vacuum the surface one more time to remove dust and small particles.
2. Using a small varnishing brush, apply one thin coat of primer around the edges.
3. Use a large varnishing roller to apply the primer all over the wood surface.
4. Apply an even coat of wood primer while try to avoid creating puddles.
5. Allow it to dry for about 1-2 hours before doing the final fine sanding with 180 grit.
6. Vacuum well one more time and proceed to applying floor lacquer coats.

Do not mix up the wood primer with any other wood primers or floor lacquers. Do not walk on the surface while drying. Do not sand the surface until 100% sure that the primer is fully dry. Remember to use lacquer to overcoat the surface. Keep the product away from children.
