Aikido - die sanfte japanische Kampfkunst - ist nicht nur eine Budo-Disziplin, sondern vor allem ein Weg der persönlichen Entwicklung, der auch von anderen Kampfkünsten, Gesundheits- und Bewegungsformen beeinflusst wird, wie z.B. Chigong/Qi Gong, Tai Chi, japanischem Schwerkampf und in jüngster Zeit auch von der russischen Kampfkunst Systema. Aikido enthält auch Elemente von Zen, progressiver Muskelentspannung und anderen Meditations- und Entspannungstechniken. Anders als beim Judo oder Karate gibt es keine Wettkämpfe. Das Aikido-Dojo Oberursel (Taunus) befindet sich im Nordwesten von Frankfurt und südöstlich von Bad Homburg. Es ist von beiden Städten aus in weniger als einer halben Stunde zu erreichen. Vom Industriegebiet Süd am Oberurseler Zimmersmühlenweg ist es gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Der Unterricht findet in den Oberurseler Stadtteilen Weißkirchen uns Stierstadt statt.

Aikido - the gentle martial art - is not only a budo discipline, but most of all a way of personal development, which is influenced by other martial arts, health and mobility disciplines, like Chigong/Qi Gong, Tai Chi and Japanese sword fighting, more recently by the Russian martial art Systema. Aikido also embraces insights from meditation, Zen, progressive relaxation and others. Unlike Judo or Karate - martial sports - there are no Aikido competitions. The Aikido Dojo Oberursel (Taunus) is located in the North-West of Frankfurt and South-East of Bad Homburg. It is less than half an hour to travel from both cities. Classes are taught in Oberursel districts Weisskirchen and Stierstadt.
