The combination of today’s advanced physical knowledge, combined with the traditional skills of Martial Arts, not only makes Karate far more dynamic, but also attracts many more participants. In a most popular city such as London, Karate lacks an Japanese Karate ethos, which retains its own identity while placing it within a modern context. We aim to expand the technical aspects and facilitate the progress of the Shotokan Karate style for participation in the WKF tournaments by establishing a club under the name Chelsea Karate Club, which was formed in 2003. By using an experienced Shotokan karate instructor at International levels, Chelsea Karate Club will have the honour of inviting those Karatekas in London who also value the traditional and athletic aspects of Shotokan style to join Chelsea Karate Team and participate in W.K.F competitions.
