Meikyokai Aikido Club Company Information
General information
The Meikyokai dojo was founded in January 2004 by Neil Saunders and Ian Moody. Meikyokai means ‘when the mind is free and clear’ which is one of the principles of any martial art, this is often known as mushin or ‘no mind’.
The style of Aikido taught at the Meikyokai dojo is Yoshinkan Aikido. We are fortunate to have Robert Mustard Sensei, 8th Yoshinkan Aikido, as our technical advisor and we are grateful for his guidance and patience. At the Meikyokai dojo we follow the Yoshinkan grading syllabus as set out by the Honbu dojo.
