Lark O’ the Lake Ice Cream Coffee Café offers a friendly and warm atmosphere where customers can purchase quality ice cream desserts, upscale coffee beverages, and fresh deli fare. Take a look at our gallery to get a sneak preview of our historic café environment.

The Lark O’ the Lake Carnival was a community celebration showcasing aviation in Duluth, Minnesota. The feature airplane was The Lark of Duluth Benoist Flying Boat that became the world’s first airliner. A mural of the Lark is featured in our café! A replica of the Lark was built for our community by the Duluth Aviation Institute and its trustees, and is a flying artifact of the beginning of our city’s aviation history.

The original “Lark O’ the Lake Carnival” posters and advertisements stated: Come for Fun. Air Ship Flights, Band Concerts, Open Air Dancing, Motor Boat Racing, Rowing Regattas, Canoe Contests, Sailing Races, Water Baseball, Log Rolling, Comic Water Clowns. Posters, brochures, cartoons, fireworks, and trophies were part of the event.

Today, we also invite you to “Come for Fun!” Our café is full of happiness and we are ready to treat you to a moment or an hour of contentment.
