General information

Riffa Views International School (RVIS) offers an American curriculum in Nursery through Grade 12. We are excited to have our first graduating seniors in 2015-2016. The academic, athletic and arts facilities at the school are world-class. Innovative practices and learner outcomes are embedded into our teaching. Within our school's 1:1 environment, RVIS teachers use a variety of tools and innovative strategies to meet the diverse needs of our 21st century learners. The faculty works collegially to provide a student-centered program to a very international student body of 400 with over 35 nationalities represented.
Class sizes range from 10-19 in the Elementary to 5-18 in the Secondary.The school currently has 60 faculty members from 13 nationalities, of which 67% are overseas hires and 33% are local hires. 68% of our teachers have master’s degrees. Financial resources are available to support personal and school-wide professional development and teachers are committed to professional growth, research-based best practice, and a collaborative focus on student learning. Overseas faculty housing is located in a prestigious gated golf community within walking distance of the school. Teachers have access to the school athletic facilities which include six tennis courts, a 25-meter competition swimming pool, a turf soccer pitch, an aerobic dance studio, and two large purpose-built gymnasiums.
