Cadrans Company Information

General information

Cadrans, Maison de Haute Horlogerie, celebrated its 30th anniversary by relocating to 24 Park Avenue, carrying its high-end brands to one of the most prestigious areas in Beirut. The concept of dedicated mini boutiques within one flagship store enables Cadrans to offer a personalized and customized environment for clients and to create the ultimate “Maison” for international brands.

To explore the history of Cadrans is to wind the hands of time back through the decades, beginning in 1954 when the distribution company Ets. Georges Abou Adal & Cie sal added well-known watchmakers Patek Philippe to its family of luxury brands.

By 1979, while Lebanon began its descent into war, Abou Adal Group’s path took on a major turn with the launch of the Cadrans name as a home for prestigious, high-end watches. The war was a harsh period and brought Cadrans, as for the rest of the country, myriad twists and turns.

From its first boutique location in Kaslik in 1981, Cadrans relocated to Sodeco in 1982. The continuation of war brought an end to the Sodeco boutique forcing Cadrans to search for a safer area, which directed it to Dbayeh in 1985. From this district of East Beirut, the name Cadrans achieved wide recognition and became a well-positioned institution.

By 1997, Cadrans was determined to expand its operation, which led to the opening of a new boutique in Dunes-Verdun. This new store allowed the boutique to reach out to the West side of Beirut. However, the long-term vision of the Cadrans brand could not be reached by opening various points of sale, which prompted the decision to host all the prestigious brands under one, unique, and personalized “Maison”.

Choosing Atrium Building, Maarad Street, in Beirut’s Central District, as the main location ensured Cadrans’ return to the city in 2001 with a glamorous flamboyance. From there, Cadrans consolidated its presence under one roof, displaying its luxurious timepiece brands that had continued to grow in number since the early years.
Chaumet, Jaeger-LeCoultre, were acquired in the 1980s, Vacheron Constantin was added in the 1990s, while A. Lange & Sohne, Dior, Piaget, and Zenithcompleted the lineup in more recent years.

In November 2009, Cadrans relocated once more, taking the company to new and greater heights. From this spectacular location in 24 Park Avenue, Cadrans remains in the heart of Beirut’s most prestigious shopping district, offering unparalleled choice and impeccable customer service.

Since Cadrans is committed to provide its clientele with a variety of high-end brands, Richard Mille, the Tourbillon effect brand, was added to the portfolio in March 2011.

Cadrans continues to try and serve its clientele’s needs and has successfully throughout the years established itself as the ultimate luxury destination.
