Amrutha Dairy Farms

General information

Amrutha Dairy Farms formally started operations in July 2010 in the Promoters owned land of 3 Acres near Bangalore. The Operations was started with just 3 Holstein Friesian cows and it went on to grow up to 50 Cows and 25 Calves as of today and plans to have 100 Cows and 50 Calves. The Project was conceptualized by NABARD Consulting (NABCONS) and was funded by State Bank of Mysore.

The Farm houses the latest facility for fodder production (Hydroponics System) which is built in RCC structure with a fodder growing capacity of 750kg to 1 Ton green fodder per day.

The idea of conducting Dairy Workshop to budding dairy entrepreneurs came to us after meeting about 350-400 different groups of people who visited our farm in the last 4 years, every group who visited our farm randomly would have spent an average of 2-3 hrs and this was both good and bad for the farm economics, good that we got to network with all these bright individuals who had lot of interest in taking up agricultural activities in the near future and bad that we lost our quality time which we could have used to focus on our business instead.

There were some groups who took learning from us and have started agri business, but majority of the visitors were just curious to see how farm life could be :) and this was a real time killer for us.

In order to avoid the random visits which was actually taking our quality time we started the Dairy Tour & Workshop (with a nominal fee) and so far we have trained about 50 individuals from different working background and businesses and different cities in India, about 100 Field Officers (Loan Officers from State Bank of Mysore), about 500 college students from Bangalore Colleges and many farmers living in the neighboring villages.

Amrutha Dairy Farms is also involved in CSR initiatives, as of now we distribute stationery items, clothes and sweets to school kids on all national holidays, we request you to help us in whatever way possible to help the village school kids. you may write to me - santhoshdsingh@gmail.com or call me on 9845190600.
