Sarvajal is a for-profit social enterprise with the mission of providing affordable, accessible and safe drinking water for all (Sarvajal means “water for all” ).

We are a branded, unpackaged water provider that creates new markets, and within existing markets holds other water providers accountable to a price point and quality standards.

WATER FOR ALL:

Sarvajal runs a company-owned, franchisee-operated model through which it sets up its own micro-filtration plants and technology solutions designed to serve communities of any population size or in any location. Franchises are run by locally-selected individuals who receive training and business support (marketing, accounting, maintenance etc.) to sell ultra-affordable water (30 paise per liter or 0.007 USD) to their communities with revenues shared in a way that creates sustainable livelihoods, and aligns our Franchisee's incentives with our own: to get more people, more clean water.

ALWAYS:

We utilizes technological solutions developed by Sarvajal that communicate data over the cellular network to manage, monitor, and control the quality and quantity of water produced in near real-time. The "source-to-service" (i.e., from when raw water enters the system, to when it is dispensed to the customer) technology solution brings the benefits of remote tracking and management to decentralized water provision. This ensures water access points are always providing potable water and has enabled us to scale from 1 plant to over 120 villages in 3 years of operation, serving over 50,000 people daily.
