Benud Behari Dutt the name of the great "Subarnabanik" or Gold Merchant stands head held high and glorified even today.

The name of The Company established in the Year 1882, triggers a sparkle, as one associates it with the fascinating "World of Jewellery".

The Founder who attributes his name to the Company was one of the silent Patriots of his times, when there were very few original Indian Jewellery Houses. Through his untiring efforts, perseverance, zeal and ingenuity, he established himself as one of the leading Jewelers of this country. His matchless artistic creativity was recognized not only by the Royal families of the Country, but also by the then British Government who honored him with a GOLD MEDAL and CERTIFICATE OF MERIT in an Exhibition held at ALLAHABAD amongst many other laurels.

On completion of 100 grand years of overwhelming success, Benud Behari Dutt proudly celebrated its Centenary ceremony on 17th January 1982. The glorious evening was witnessed and inaugurated by the then Finance Minister and present President Hon’ble Mr. Pranab Kumar Mukherjee.

Even to this day, it gives intense satisfaction and pleasure as people come from far and wide looking for the brand “Benud Behari Dutt”, a name they say, so often heard from mothers and grandmothers, anytime and every time jewellery was associated. Presently, the Brand name has been signifying "Jewellery" for the 4th generation, proudly bearing the torch, brought forward with much glory by Kanak Dutt who stands inimitable in his style and creation, undoubtedly proving to be the worthy grandson and descendant of the well famed Late Benud Behari Dutt.
