香港教育博物館成立於2009年5月，旨在收藏、保存、研究及展示有關香港教育歷史、文化及發展的文物。博物館作為一個公眾機構，透過合作項目、伙伴計劃、展覽和互動性的教育活動，推動社群參與發掘歷史文物，以及建立資源以推廣終身學習。此外，本館亦是研究香港教育歷史的所在地，為本地及海外的教育團體舉辦有關學術活動。

Established in 2009, the Hong Kong Museum of Education is a thematic museum which acquires, conserves, researches and exhibits materials relating to the history and development of education in Hong Kong. Presenting themes such as the role and contribution of teaching to society, and the development of teacher education in Hong Kong, the Museum has a wide range of collections which include plaques, trophies, certificates, uniforms, teaching tools, textbooks, old photographs and historical documents.
