猪名川霊照苑 Company Information
General information
阪神間の東北端にあり、東は大阪府豊能郡、南は川西市、西は宝塚市と三田市にそれぞれ接し、北は篠山市に隣接しています。
猪名川町は、奈良時代に高僧行基が楊津院を建立したという伝承や、平安時代には源満仲が荘園を開いたという言い伝えが残っています。
兵庫県と大阪府にまたがって広がる鉱山、多田銀銅山の中心地となった銀山地区においては、豊臣秀吉の時代に優良な鉱脈が発見され本格的な開発が始まり、徳川幕府の直轄領となった江戸期には大いに栄えました。その後、銀銅山の採掘は昭和48年まで続けられました。
現在の町域は、明治4年の廃藩置県で兵庫県に編入され、明治22年に六瀬村と中谷村が発足しました。
その後、昭和30年4月10日に両村が合併し、現在の猪名川町が誕生しました。
また、町制施行以来、阪神間の大都市近郊に位置する地理的条件を活かし、交通網の整備に合わせて大規模な住宅開発が進められてきました。
現在では、美しい自然とすばらしい住環境が調和する“ふれあいのまち 「ふるさと いながわ」”へと変貌を遂げています。
