General information
附属牧場は昭和24年に獣医・畜産学の教育研究の場として設置されて以来、多くの家畜の系統育成を行いながらこれらを教育・研究用動物として各所に供給している。さらに家畜の生産を継続して獣医・畜産学分野のフィールド実習教育の場としての役割も果たすとともに、実証的応用研究と動物産業の基礎技術の開発研究とこれら動物の飼料作物生産等を行っている。産業動物の健康保持、畜産物の安全性評価と環境保全およびアニマルセラピー等の実証研究を通じて社会に開かれたアニマルファームを目指している。
