The Cattery

General information

The Cattery is a small family run business where all cats are housed individually. This gives your cat the freedom to eat and sleep when they want without interference from other cats.

For cats coming from the same family, we do have bigger family units available or they may be housed individually. Our units are warm and spacious with views to the surrounding hills outside. We have inside and outside play rooms for individual play or group play with other cats.

So that your cat settles quickly into their stay we encourage you to bring their favourite toy or blanket to put in their unit.

The Cattery is on a thermostat controlled heatpump at all times to maintain a comfortable enviroment.

Special Requests

When booking in your cat you will be asked about their diet. We try and keep their diet as close as possible to what they enjoy at home. We carry lams Original, Hairball biscuits and Science Diet biscuits. Medical and dietary requirements can be catered for.

Safe Play

To protect the wellbeing of all cats booked in, it is our policy that only cats with a current vaccination certificate are accepted. You will need to provide us with the current vaccination certificate issued from your vet. Please be aware that no vaccine is 100% foolproof. Please make sure that you are fully informed from your vet as to what your cats vaccine can and cannot do.

If you have a new cat or kitten, check with your vet regarding the vaccination period required. After the last vaccine or booster is given it takes a 2 week period to have a full effect and cats can be brought to The Cattery after this time.

Please also ensure that your cat has been treated for fleas and worms prior to coming to The Cattery.

Pickup / Drop off service

We have a pick up and delivery service available.

Rates

If your cat is collected before 10.30am on the departure date there is no charge for that day.

For stays longer than 30 days a deposit of 50% is required on arrival of your cat (applies to new customers only) and the remaining balance paid by cash, cheque or EFTPOS when your cat is picked up.
