General information

St Michael’s is one of the oldest schools in Christchurch. Our School is an Anglican, independent, co-educational primary school situated on the corner of Durham and Tuam Streets. Traditional values are important to us, and they are balanced alongside a focus on the future. The four key values that guide our school: Learning, Aroha, Connectedness and Faith are all promoted throughout the full range of academic, cultural, sporting and spiritual opportunities. Our School has no zone, excellent teacher-pupil ratios, a playground enhancement project, and After School Care facilities until 5.30pm. But what really sets our School apart from others is the sense of family. We work hard to make everyone in our community – children, parents and staff – feel welcomed and accepted. Learning is easier that way!
