The Bass and Flinders Centre in George Town Tasmania, is the now the home of a full size replica of HMCS Norfolk . The original Norfolk in 1798 was sailed by Bass and Flinders through Bass Strait and proved Tasmania, (Van Diemens Land) was an island.
