The PROFIBUS Nutzerorganisation e.V. (PNO) is an independent professional association for the industrial communication. It is the owner of the PROFIBUS, PROFINET and IO-Link technologies and responsible for their dissemination as well as their further development.
As a member of the international umbrella organization PROFIBUS & PROFINET International (PI), which offers worldwide support for PROFIBUS, PROFINET and IO-Link, the PNO is internationally connected.
With 25 regional PROFIBUS and PROFINET associations (RPAs) in all world markets, 1400 member companies and approx. 4,000 different products PI is the largest interest group for industrial communication.
It covers all industrial automation key markets, from factory automation to process automation towards motion control and safety applications.
Today more than 56 Mio. PROFIBUS,17 Mio. PROFINET nodes and 6 million IO-Link nodes are installed in the market worldwide!
