Der Verband Saarländischer Karnevalsvereine e. V. steht als drittgrößter kulturtreibender Landesverband an der Saar als Servicestation seiner 174 angeschlossenen Mitgliedsvereinen zur Verfügung.
Seit seiner Verbandsgründung vor über 60 Jahren versteht sich der VSK auch als Mittler zwischen Deutschland und Frankreich; durch die Mitgliedschaft der französischen Vereine praktizieren die Fastnachter schon unendlich viele Jahre ein für uns grenzenloses Europa.
