MacLaren Barbers has been a dream of the Owner and Senior Barber, Benjamin M. Laws for years. Moving to Sweden from the U.S. of A. in the summer of 2011, Benjamin quickly discovered a great need in Stockholm city, the nations capital. There were nearly two hairdressing salons on almost every street corner, but where were all the barbershops? All that Benjamin sought for was that classic American Barbershop that doubled as a place to get a proper “Straight Razor Shave” as well as an open forum for discussion. There are a several “barbershop style” hair salons in Stockholm city, but still there are no genuine American Barbershops.
In a booming globalized industry such as barbering, it feels as though the timing is quite right to launch the very first American Barbershop in Stockholm city. MacLaren Barbers is simply our way of trying to make the world a little more awesome.
