Who are we?

Melin Consultants has been providing energy modeling calculations for local authorities, architects, builders & developers over a number of years.

All our technicians have a wealth of experience in dealing with individual requirements and as a company we have a motto of “10% calculation 90% solution” which we believe gives a clear indication to our clients as to where our technical capabilities lay.

As a building consultancy specialising in Part L of the Building Regulations and environmental assessing of new buildings our technician are qualified and accredited to issue certification in all the following fields BREEAM, Code for Sustainable Homes, EPC, SBEM, SAP, air-tightness testing. We also offer a host of additional services to support our core activities. These include sunlight, daylight and solar gain indicators to enable designers get a more rounded understanding of the impact a new buildings may have on the occupants; thermal modeling and assessment; thermographic surveying; and LZC feasibility studies.

All technical employees have a wealth of experience and a background in construction. We build close relationships with client design teams to give other specialist disciplines guidance on our expert field of low carbon solutions. Both the commercial and residential sectors are covered and technicians approach design problems from a commercial perspective without compromising the underlying motive of reducing buildings carbon emissions through sustainable design.
