General information

I am dedicated piano teacher with over ten years of experience in teaching classical and jazz styles to all ages.

I began providing piano lessons in 2007 after graduating from Cardiff University with a degree in music. In 2009 I joined the teaching team at the Forte School of Music in Cardiff. Here I taught the piano to groups of children, developing well-rounded musicians within a fun and interactive environment. It was while teaching in Cardiff that I gained my certificate in ‘Being An Effective Teacher’ from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

I am now based in Bristol, where I provide individual lessons for adults and children and deliver group workshops for Bristol Music School.

In 2016 I began to train as a Suzuki teacher after seeing the many benefits that this form of musical education had to offer.

My own love of music encompasses a number of styles and genres. I have studied classical piano to diploma level and hold a passion for jazz piano, most recently receiving lessons at the ‘Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama’. I enjoy various performance opportunities both as a soloist and within bands. I believe that learning music is a lifelong study- I continually challenge my own musical skills and seek new knowledge in order to grow and inspire my own teaching.

I am a member of both the European Piano Teachers Association and the British Suzuki Institute. I am fully DBS checked and insured.
