'The Good Yard cram so much into a tiny space. Great coffee, a range of well made simple breakfasts and lunches from a tiny kitchen and superb shakes and juices. These guys are into healthy, quality ingredients and skilful cookery but they don’t present themselves in a pretentious, serious manner – rather everything is delightfully friendly, humourous and enjoyable. It’s certainly the place for banter, and for hospitality. Coffeewise, having Tristan Clark (who set up the café in Soho Bikes) on the coffee machine certainly helps and the coffee is consistently good. Some of the shakes are highly recommended – we enjoyed a Choca Khan and look forward to trying a Van Kalen. The Good Yard is set in a tiny arcade behind Liverpool Street and well worth a visit.
