Kids Run Free

General information

Kids Run Free is a registered charity (charity number 1146636) established by Martine Verweij in 2010 and based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

We organise athletics events for children of all abilities aged 0-16 in public parks all year round. We run events on the first Saturday of every month in 7 locations in the Midlands.

All events are free. We aim to reach as many families as possible and to increase and sustain sports participation by starting with kids as young as possible. We try to make the events family occasions, encouraging parents to come along with their children, and make use of the recreational facilities in their neighbourhood.

We hope to change sedentary lifestyles by working with communities to promote the holistic benefits of exercise.

We currently hold events in locations within the Midlands.

Bentley Heath Recreation Ground, Solihull
Kings Heath Park, Birmingham
Braunstone Park, Leicester
Jubilee Recreation Ground, Nuneaton
