Richmond Cycles wants to keep things simple. Sometimes it is easy to get lost in all the modern cycling jargon and trends, but at the end a day a bike is just a bike and riding is fun for all. Richmond Cycles aims to keep things simple by delivering honest advice and professional service to the cyclist. Whether you are a seasoned pro or have never ridden a bike before, it doesn't matter, we are just here to help!

I have been cycling (and falling) since I was 4 years old. At the age of 12 my cousin captivated me by cycling down my mum and dads driveway on his back wheel. From that point on I was obsessed and spent my weekends cycling with my cousin, learning everything I could about bikes.

By the age of 15 my dad refused to pay for anymore broken bike parts, so I got a job at the local bike shop, Fife Cycle Centre. I learned my trade under John Simpson (the owner of Fife Cycle Centre). John taught me to keep things simple and treat customers as people and not entities only to make money from. He taught me to sell and provide service around the customers needs and not the shop's need to sell. His simple and unpretentious philosophy has made Fife Cycle Centre an excellent bike shop.

After 12 years of working at Fife Cycle Centre, I feel that I have gained all the skills and knowledge necessary to run an excellent bike shop. I hope to emulate the success of the bike shop where I learned my trade, and also add my own personal touch to Richmond Cycles. I am crazy excited to start this venture and would love to see you in the shop!
