Instant Pot Company was established in January, 2009 by industry experts in Canada. The first Instant Pot Multi-Function Programmable Electric Pressure Cooker was launched in Canada and the US in 2012/13. It is now the No1 selling brand on Amazon US.
In 2014, the Instant Pot IP-LUX60 programmable pressure cooker / slow cooker / rice cooker / steamer / porridge maker, complete with 3 temperatures for sauté/browning and slow cooking went on sale in the UK. In November 2014 the DUO was launched - this model has 2 pressure settings (high and low) and a Yoghurt making feature.
Both Instant Pot models have a fantastic Keep Warm feature that kicks in automatically at the end of the pressure cooking and the slow cooking cycles, allowing you more time for other stuff
