Janata Palace is a family run Indian restaurant. Established in 1991, it has been serving curry to the local community for almost 20 years. Situated on Cowbridge Road East, it is close to Cardiff city centre. Proprietor, Abdul Mazid, originally opened the business as ‘Royal Curry’ in the late 1960’s. Royal Curry was amongst the first Indian restaurant to open on Cowbridge Road East. Royal Curry until the mid eighties and in 1991 Janata Palace was established. At Janata Palace, all staff aim to provide tasty food, with helpful service in a friendly atmosphere.
