Ruth Mary is the jewellery designer behind Ruth Mary Jewellery.
She uses an extraordinary and innovative process to create her collection of couture lace jewellery. Each piece begins with humble cotton thread which she transforms into uniquely shaped lace, using the almost forgotten craft of 'tatting'.
Moulds are then created around the lace, which enables exact replicas of the original models to be produced in precious metal and transformed into luxury jewellery.
The intricacy of the lace texture can be deceptive. It's not until you handle a piece for yourself that you realise the quality and durability. After all, luxury should not be disposable, but cherished.
