Essence of Peru are specialists in unique items of ethically produced children’s toys and clothing which are all hand crafted by artisans in Peru. On our website you'll find everything from vibrant children’s cardigans and hooded jumpers, to over 25 different types of finger puppets and even name trains to personalise a special gift to the little one in your life.

Essence of Peru have been trading since 2008, the business was set up by an entrepreneurial young woman who realised that the vibrant colours and attentive detail of South American clothing would be a hit with parents and children alike in the UK and the demand for these miniature pieces of clothing art are growing by the day.

Every item we stock is an individual piece of ethically produced Peruvian folk art; the artisans that create these pieces of art are paid a fair wage, and often whole families earn a living creating these wonderful garments.

We are a firm believer that our vast colour choice is the key to our success. We understand that kids don't necessarily like pink or blue, and maybe they want purple, green or coral?

Essence of Peru offer a choice of 11 colours in every size we stock. We also understand that the old toys are sometimes the best, the unbreakable finger puppets that encourage imaginative play, or the old school wooden name trains that teaches children the letters in their name.
