Established nearly 30 years ago, The Thatched Garage home of The Man for Land Rovers brings customers in Sussex, Surrey, Kent, from the rest of the UK and all over the world a truly independent 4x4 dealership specialising in used / pre-owned Land Rovers, Parts & Servicing.

We offer a range of all pre-owned Land Rovers for sale. The Defender stock includes used 90 110 and 130 models and even the older Series 1, 2, 2A and 3 four wheel drive vehicles too. All our pre-owned Land Rovers for sale have full preparation and Warranty and Finance is available too.
2012 saw the introduction of our ManMade Limited Edition Defenders. Painstakingly upgraded XS Station Wagons built to order. Simply stunning!

In our own Sussex based Workshops, we service, maintain and repair every Land Rover product: Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Evoque, Discovery, Discovery Sport, Freelander and of course all Defenders, 90s, 110s and earlier Series models. We use the latest Land Rover Diagnostic equipment. Bespoke Tuning, performance upgrades and all manner of vehicle enhancements are available at the Garage for every Land Rover model made.

Our Stores carry a simply huge range of Parts and Accessories for servicing all models of pre-owned Land Rovers. With a choice of Genuine OE parts or quality Allmakes & Britpart aftermarket parts, you’ll find our prices hard to equal. Anything from an Oil Filter to a Winch Bumper. We operate counter sales for Sussex and local customers, mail order in the UK and export worldwide too.

We may buy and sell only Defender and Series models from 1948 to 2013.

But we also service, maintain & repair Discoverys, Evoques, Freelanders, RR Sport and Vogues across their entire production variants, older and newer.

And yes, we have the latest in Land Rover Computer Diagnostics for all!

Accessories? Shall we say Everything? And if it isn't made, we'll make it in house.
Only 400,000 kms and 19 years testing in EU + Africa and beyond so far. Proprietor, DP & Parts/Accessories/Servicing guys have all been there, done that.

Tuning and associated upgrades? No BHP too big, no tweak too small. The whole gamut of every owners emotions available right now! Sensible, knowledgeable, practical advice based on their needs not ours! Tried and tested.

Limited Editions? Well, have you seen the choice? Mmmm, have you seen the prices, and examined the quality? We do the lot, for much, much less and with more care and experience... Why? Because there's more to life than gold thread and profit.

Experience? Got that in abundance (do folk say 'shed loads'?). No 3 Son Ben has been with us 16 years - half his life - and learns every day. And he is our newest Employee! The Man? Just 47 years in Business, over two thirds dedicated to Solihull's finest....

I started out as The Man who would and could, but want to finish this innings as The Man who did! A wonderful comment was passed onto me perhaps 15 years ago by a highly respected member of London Society, who said: "Thanks so much for looking after me whilst my son - now chastised, nay corrected by you for his perhaps foolish presumptions - blazed up and down the road in every truck you own - You're The Man For Land Rovers, you'll leave your mark on this World....."
