The Cattery
We are a long established, family run cattery, centrally located in Swindon, ideal for shortening that journey with your cat. The cattery overlooks a quiet garden and provides a safe, secure and comfortable environment for your cat so that you can take a break free from worry.
We have chosen to make our living this way because of our affection for cats. We will quickly learn your cat’s normal behaviour and feeding and toileting patterns and pick up anything unusual. Cats like routine and predictability and find being cared for by the same person reassuring.
We know what a wrench it is parting from your cat but we have found that the cats in our care are perfectly content so long as they are warm, comfortable, feel safe and are given their preferred foods. Your cat is safer and more stimulated in the cattery than if he is left at home to be fed by a neighbour or pet-sitter.
The Accommodation
We offer both centrally heated indoor and outdoor accommodation with heated sleeping quarters. We can also interconnect runs for cats from the same home. A number of the runs overlook our garden.
We provide a safe, clean and warm environment for all our cats. Each run has its own sleep box and exercise area. There is comfortable bedding provided, but you are welcome to bring your own blankets, toys and treats.
Your Cats Needs
All cats’ individual needs are catered for. Please specify any special diet or requirements. You are welcome to supply your cats food and we discount the booking by 50pm per full day. Meal times are kept to regular times in the morning and afternoon.
We will endeavour to provide quieter end runs for more nervous cats and we can provide ramps for our less agile boarders
Current medication will be administered with specific instructions from the owner.
Booking Information
Viewing is welcomed during opening hours. Booking can be made in person, by telephone or by e-mail.
The rates include food, heating, bedding and litter and are quoted per day. They are:
• 1 cat £9.25
• 2 cats £18.00
• 3 cats £25.75
For 4 or more cats please call to discuss rates
There are morning and afternoon opening times and ½ days are charged. We do not have a minimum stay fee and we do not charge for cancellations. We can also transport your cats at a cost of £5 per journey. Payment is accepted by credit or debit cards, cash or cheques (payable to Chimneys Cattery).
A surcharge will be charged for bookings over Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. It will be £10 for each date.
