Austech specialises in the collection and ethical disposal of broken, faulty and ‘end of life’ IT equipment, focussing on ‘zero landfill solutions’. This is done via closed loop re-cycling solutions operating within the required WEEE regulations.

Austech is very conscious of data security and the requirement for audited, certified destruction. To ensure data integrity we have in place processes and facilities to prevent this being compromised.

All this is combined with delivery to the client of a revenue stream where the IT equipment has a re-sale or re-cycling value.

Collection, Disposal, Recycling:
Austech provides an Free Of Charge collection service to Education establishments (school, colleges, universities and Local authorises with full a itemised inventory.

Evaluation for recycling, re-sale or disposal is done by Austech technicians and stringent testing and re-conditioning is done where items are to be re-sold.

For all metal, plastic and recycled parts Austech will ensure these are stripped, crushed, melted and recovered according to WEEE regulations and ISO 9001,14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Data Destruction, Audit Trail:
Intellectual property protection and Data destruction are vital and sensitive services provided by Austech and security is guaranteed through the transport chain to end of life. This can be tracked live to point of destruction to evidence adherence to all security measures. All such activities are certified 6-10 weeks from collection and can be fully audited, providing the customer with the peace of mind and security necessary.

Client Revenue:
Austech delivers a two-fold financial advantage to organisations needing to dispose of equipment. Firstly we provide a free of charge collection service for all items and secondly actually deliver a fee back to the customer for those items that have re-sale or recycling value. This can significantly contribute to the purchase of new equipment or add revenue to the customer.
