General information
The First Aid Industry Body was created by Ian Kershaw MBE (ex-Head of First Aid for the Health & Safety Executive from 1995-2007) at the request of Health & Safety Executive Approved Training Providers.
It is run under an Advisory Panel of Experts within the First Aid Industry and is run for the First Aid Industry by the First Aid Industry.
We provide a 5 Year Approval for our Registered Training Providers who will be monitored by qualified Inspectors.
In Year 1 we will approve FAW, EFAW and Paediatric First Aid and every Training Providers will issue their own certificates.
Is it the efficient, cost effective alternative to Ofqual/SQA for accreditation and encourages Training Providers to provide heavily practical First Aid training.
