General information

Rising Stars enhances the skills, confidence and aspirations of children and young people in Greater Manchester and the North West of England through music, art, media and events.

Our aim is to
• Develop the creative skills of young people through music, filming and events.
• Encourage participation in music and the arts amongst young people in the region.
• Cultivate the arts of music and films, particularly amongst young people, and to encourage public appreciation of these arts.
• Engage and inspire young people living in disadvantaged communities by providing positive, creative activities and regular opportunities for young people to volunteer and showcase their talent to friends and family.

*** Get Involved! ***
• Music: learn to create your own music, produce, sing, write lyrics, record, DJ and perform your tracks in and around Greater Manchester and the North West
• Media: learn photography and videography, how to take pictures and edit them, colour correction. Learn to make short films, film and edit using industry software and equipment.
• Events: assist in organising community and fundraising events, youth led concerts and projects
• Artists: illustrators, painters, graphics designers, you can showcase & share your work to inspire other artists
• Volunteering opportunities: musicians, designers, filmmakers, youth leaders and bloggers can apply for voluntary positions to help promote Rising Stars.
