Bateman Groundworks was founded by Managing Director Richard Bateman in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk in 1997. Nearly 18 years on Bateman Groundworks employs over 140 people and has an annual turnover in excess of £15 million.

With an exemplary safety record our team, which includes IOSH qualified managers, provides groundworks and civil engineering services to developers and contractors throughout the East of England.

Our philosophy is simple - to identify a client's needs then provide a solution that technically and financially meets those needs to the highest quality and to the safest possible standards.

Our professional approach to site management and the bespoke site management programme all our site managers have to go through in order to manage one of our projects ensures safety is at the heart of everything we do.

Our strong relationships and reputation with our clients is testament to the high level of customer care our team provides from the very beginning through to site return visits. Lots of the work we do is through referrals as we've firmly established a reputation in the market for our well-trained and highly skilled workforce and many of our clients are blue chip national groups.

We're also passionate about our local community and many of our employees are from Great Yarmouth and the surrounding areas. We support sporting teams and events across the county from charities to the Great Yarmouth Maritime Festival, Lowestoft Yarmouth Rugby Club to Ian Ellis golf professional. We love to show our support to the area whenever we can and it's all part of our commitment to help East Anglia reach its full potential for the benefit of its residents and communities.
