COMPANY OVERVIEW
Mycology Research Laboratories Ltd. (MRL) was founded in 1997 in the United Kingdom. In 2001, Mycology Research established MRL-USA LLC, a MRL's affiliate in California, United States. MRL manufactures and markets mushroom nutrition products that combine proprietary technology for contaminate-free cultivation to EU organic standards (conducted in California) along with fifteen years of clinical research. All MRL products are manufactured to food grade GMP standards (HACCP standards) in either the United States (MRL-USA LLC) or the Netherlands (Mycology Research Laboratories Ltd).

OUR PRODUCT LINE
MRL mushroom (fungi) nutrition source powder contains both mycelium and primordia (young fruiting bodies) of individual mushrooms that are cultivated into a biomass on sterile substrate. This is one of the only cultivation processes which cultivates a biomass that is free from contamination by other fungi, pesticides and heavy metals. The cultivation system is proprietary and certified, allowing for standardized production of individual mushroom nutrition products.
OUR PROCESS
Processing is carried out under the same rigorously controlled conditions that are applied to the manufacture of conventional pharmaceuticals. The result is a standardized biomass dried at low temperature, which is further ground while maintaining a low temperature to form a finely ground powder that is either the final product or is further processed into tablets with a standardized biomass content of 500 mg. The choice of binders and additives used in manufacture renders these tablets suitable for vegetarian and healthy diet use.
Unlike an extracted mushroom products that may be composed of specific β-glucans, MRL biomass mushrooms provide not only β-glucans, but also enzymes and secondary metabolites.
