General information

Established in 1973 as a small haulage firm with a Ford D series Tipper, Roy and Dorothy Hawes expanded with a JCB and a Caterpillar excavator. Roy was hiring himself out to contractors as an owner driver.

In 1980 Hawes Plant, Tool & Skip Hire opened their plant and skip delivery depot which is just outside of High Wycombe, their plant, skip and tool hire shop is still located in Coronation Rd, Cressex Industrial Estate, High Wycombe.

The plant & tool hire side of the business has seen steady growth over the years, mainly fueled by our excellent service, competitive prices and our consistent reinvestment in our hire fleet.

The skip hire business started when Roy Hawes spotted an opportunity for a reliable and speedy skip hire service in the High Wycombe area, he started the skip business with one second hand skip lorry and 10 x 6 yard skips. In 2004 Hawes Skip Hire took over one of the local skip hire companies. The skip hire business has also seen consistent growth which we put down to our excellent customer service, fast delivery and collection, along with our consistent reinvestment in more vehicles to always maintain the fastest skip and plant hire delivery and collection service.
