Sands Civil & Structural Chartered Engineers were established in 1991 and are based in Exeter, Devon. The aim of the consultancy is to provide a civil and structural engineering service to large and small clients, treating all with equal importance, and giving a fast, friendly and practical solution to problems.
Over the years Sands have built a reputation for delivering a professional service with a commercial approach to all projects. The Company started in the depths of a recession but still attracted a healthy client base, proving the ethos of the company to be sound. In recent years the company has broadened out to include specialist services, such as:
- 3D Ground profiling for cut and fill volumes and external works level design.
- Hydraulic modelling for foul and surface water networks.

Sands was formed to provide a civil and structural engineering consultancy service for the South West but over the years we have extended our client base across the South of the country and beyond.

As a successful civil and structural consultancy we have vast experience working on a range of different schemes and projects. These have varied in both size and complexity, ranging from basic structural surveys to multi-million pound developments for a variety of clients in both the public and private sectors, including water companies, developers, development corporations, housing associations, local authorities, health care sector and overseas clients.
