Pitlessie Rabbit Retreat and Guinea Pig Care

General information

At Pitlessie Rabbit Retreat your bunny or guinea pig will have an endless supply of fresh grass and hay as well as plentiful fresh water and the chance to roam around a spacious run which will be theirs exclusively for their entire stay.

Pets are housed in one of our six purpose-built outdoor hutch and run units and two guinea pig pods in a large, secure garden area and are cared for by the experienced and knowledgeable owners of the business.

We cater for rabbits accustomed to living outside and accept bookings throughout the year for those used to being housed in an outdoor hutch.

We accept guinea pigs for housing outside from April through to September. These would be housed in either one of large hutch and run units or one of the smaller guinea pig pods.

We also have two' Ferplast 100' cages in our pet shed for accommodating guinea pigs and smaller rabbits during the colder months or for those used to living indoors.

Each and every enclosure is fully cleaned and sanitised between stays. They are also offered fresh vegetables as an occasional treat. Water bottles and food bowls are provided - all we ask is that you bring with you a plentiful supply of your pet's regular dry food so as to avoid any disruption in diet. All pets will have a daily supervised opportunity to have a turn exploring the secure meadow.

We understand that each pet is an individual in terms of their personality, diet, handling needs and care needs. We believe in quality over quantity and will only take in a limited number of pets at any one time, meaning that we always have time and resources to give your furry friend the attention they deserve.
