Mission

Trading for Good is a digital service helping small businesses improve their reputation and grow their business by showcasing the good work they do in their communities.

It also gives free advice to local businesses to help them get involved in socially responsible projects. We are looking to assist small businesses in one or more of five areas:

- Support charities and communities
- Help young people into work
- Improve your impact on the environment
- Work better with your suppliers
- Make life better for employees

If customers can chose a business based on the good work they do, everyone benefits.
Who we are

Trading for Good is a not-for-profit venture that inspires businesses to be more socially responsible, with a passionate belief that successful businesses are responsible businesses.

Trading for Good, which is powered by Excell Group, was inspired by the government’s ‘Every Business Commits’ agenda that encourages British businesses to contribute to society. The initiative is championed by the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Corporate Responsibility and non-executive Chairman of Trading for Good, Philip N Green.

Trading for Good recently announced a three-year agreement with Santander, creating a unique partnership committed to helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that support local communities. In addition to the partnership with Santander, Trading for Good has also secured financial backing from the Innovation in Giving fund, run by Nesta and funded by the Cabinet Office. The Fund sets out to enable a step-change in the giving and exchanging of time, assets, skills, resources and money.
