General information
The Northern Jazz Orchestra was formed in 1989 by drummer and musical director Paul Rigby. Working to develop their own unique sound, they combine the best of big band standards with more contemporary jazz using the top musicians in the north.
Playing the music of Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, Count Basie, Stan Kenton
and Harry Connick Jr. the band has appeared with such guest stars as Bobby
Shew, Mark Nightingale, Kenny Baker, Jiggs Wigham, Elaine Delmar, Al Woods and Jeff Hooper.
We also perform at many weddings, corporate and private functions. Make that special date complete with fantastic music and entertainment from the NJO ranging from swing & pop. We can also include a 'virtual Dj' in the price we quote
