General information

LGV Training Academy head offices are based at Grove Technology Park in Wantage.

This location was selected primarily for the Grove aerodrome runway availability.

Having looked at the professional driving schools around the UK it was felt that most lacked the complete package.

A high percentage of students fail the driving test due to poor reversing skills.

Most schools do not possess a dedicated reversing area, correctly marked out which replicates the driver test centre.

All be it a small part of the driving test, it has been proved (by the amount of first time passes), that this dedicated reversing area provides the student with a greater level of confidence when the actual test day comes. The very first part of the test is reversing and if that is failed the whole test is failed before you even start.

To enhance the reversing training, as well as the dedicated area, all our vehicles are fitted with specifically positioned reversing cameras, enabling the student even further confidence when it comes to the test.

Our academy has a modern fleet of vehicles and caters for a wide range of client requirements, including equestrian, haulage and military transport.

We also offer RTITB accredited driver CPC periodic training packages, making LGV Training Academy a truly one stop shop for all the professional driving qualifications needed.
