General information

TaylorHare is an ambitious and energetic young architecture practice founded in 2014 by Christopher Taylor and Timothy Hare. We deliver projects at a variety of scales, from one-off houses for exacting private clients to large mixed-use schemes for private developers and investment groups.

Our Practice & Approach

As a small practice we pride ourselves on providing a service that goes beyond the norm. We strive to produce buildings that are rooted in a clear concept, informed by a sensitive and thoughtful approach to context and that strive for quality, substance and permanence in their built form.

We work together with all of our clients – not under them, not over them – to create something honest and unique. We are guided by an approach that is genuine and innovative, focused on listening, translating and inspiring people.

Representation is central to the way we share ideas and includes hand sketches and drawings, perspective images and renders, along with more tactile samples and physical models.

Our passion for construction is evident throughout our physical models and we find this the best way to test material tectonics, detailing and articulation. By modelling each of our projects we capture key internal and exterior views, enabling our clients to clearly visualise their projects as they develop.

However, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, yet are committed to delivering impeccably detailed, finely crafted and functional spaces, but paramount to our execution is the importance of having fun. The practice is young and energetic with an intellectual studio culture; strong on dialogue and testing ideas.
