General information

Canford is among the top co-educational boarding schools in the country for pupils aged 13-18. Academic achievement is excellent - 16 have offers at Oxbridge for 2012, with 85% of all A level/Pre-U grades A*/B in 2011 including the highest mark in the UK in Spanish Pre-U. The school has developed a unique Academic Enrichment programme which is open to all with enquiring minds and a love of learning.

Beyond the classroom, there is a diverse range of intellectual, artistic, cultural and sporting activities on offerfor all abilities. For those who wish, there are the opportunities to take chosen activities to the highest levels. In sport, for example, rowers gained gold and silver medals representing GB in 2011 and all Canford hockey teams were county champions in 2012, while in the arts, the Head Boy reached the finals of the prestigious Roche Art competition this year, held in conjunction with Cambridge University.
