The Card Shop

General information

An independent card and gift shop offering a wide range of seasonal gifts and cards as well as your day-to-day celebrations.
Frequently described as ‘an Aladdin’s Cave’, an have an extensive choice of cards (from large, small, ’wordy’, all ages – young and old and humorous) for every occasion. We also stock a wide variety of gifts, from fun and quirky (money pots, wine glasses, mugs, tins), notepads & diaries, scarves, jewellery and accessories, to more traditional items for those special occasions such as weddings, births and anniversaries.
We are also very proud to have a selection of unique and hand-made gifts from local craftspeople including high quality wood products – clocks, mirrors, bookmarks and pens. We also have a range of fused-glass bowls and dishes, silver, glass and bead jewellery made locally.
We have gifts for younger children and we also sell a range of children’s books.
We’re also well known for selling party accessories such as banners, candles, badges, helium balloons - foil and latex.
Stamps are also available to help save time.
We’re a small friendly team and are always very happy to help in any way we can: from helping to choose that special card or a gift from the shop or looking into special requests. If you can’t find that special something then please just ask us and we’ll do whatever we can.
We accept most credit cards (no minimum spend) and there is plenty of free parking nearby.
We are proud to support the Great Western Air Ambulance and the NSPCC with charity boxes at the till and also strive to recycle and minimise as much waste as possible.
