Millstone Day Nursery offers quality child care and has been providing peace of mind for local parents since 1990. We offer superb quality child care for your child, from birth to eleven year olds. Based in Leicester city centre (with a short stay car park), Millstone Day Nursery has the added benefit of an after school club and a holiday care programme.

Children who have attended a nursery are generally better prepared when it comes to starting school. By laying firm foundations upon which all knowledge can be based, they develop the skills required for future school years through a range of stimulating activities, while enjoying the company of other children their own age.

Our family run concern exemplifies everything required by working parents. We have created, along with our dedicated staff, a happy, cheerful, safe atmosphere with an excellent range of amenities, providing the highest standards of care and supervision for children in attractive and welcoming surroundings.

The nursery offers a broad range of bright, fully equipped rooms spread over 3 floors. When this extensive area is combined with a team of thirty-seven highly trained staff it is clear to see why one hundred and seventy five children enjoy our caring and sharing facilities and staff. With a mixture of qualified nursery nurses assistants, we ensure that your child's needs are put first, offering them the best care possible and offering you peace of mind.

Our staff are highly trained, enthusiastic and dedicated with full CRB clearance. As an Investor in People, we have a continuous programme of employee training ensuring we adopt the best and latest early teaching methods. By ensuring our staff are properly trained, motivated and rewarded, we know they will deliver the highest standard of care.

We have created a caring, stimulating environment which is safe and interesting. Above all, we want your child to enjoy their time with us. Each and every child entrusted to our care is special and we aim to provide a caring and embracing environment in which they have the freedom to develop their own personality, abilities and potential. The high staff ratios at our nursery ensure the children receive a high level of individual attention.

Being OFSTED inspected we provide a broad and balanced curriculum, based on the government's Early Learning Goals. These emphasise the importance of encouraging a child's early language and literacy, numeracy and the development of personal and social skills. By incorporating these into their daily routine, the children learn through a range of fun and varied activities including stories, singing, painting, dancing and movement to name but a few. Their play experiences are based around their individual and developmental needs, providing them with the correct stimuli, to reach their maximum potential at their own pace.

A fleet of minibuses run a collection service from the majority of city schools, which gives you, the parents, the freedom to collect your children after work safe in the knowledge that your child is safe and happy in a secure environment. Millstone's hours are 7.30am to 6.00pm.

In addition, we have further facilities for those children at school. Our After School Care and Holiday Care is second to none. With our usual high standards, we have rooms designed to suit the needs of older children. Our Holiday Care gives a mix of educational and recreational activities and external trips to keep your child interested at all times. The After School Care offers the same with our exclusive school collection service via our own minibus.
