Love Russia

General information

Since 1993, Love Russia has been reaching out to abandoned and vulnerable orphans who are completely unprepared for life after the orphanage system. The general trend sees orphanage leavers, without any support, turning to addictions and crime. Most will suffer poverty with many experiencing homelessness and unmanageable pregnancies.
Love Russia strives to change traumatic circumstances through long term support from a reliable adult (Mentors), providing shelter (Transition Homes) and teaching skills to enable orphanage leavers to thrive - not just survive. For outreach and fun - there's Summer Camp!

Discretion and respect for privacy is vital, therefore names referring to individuals are often changed. We aim to support our Russian friends as they work towards social change, always being sensitive to their culture as the vulnerable are rescued, person by person, breaking the cycle of orphans creating more orphans.
