Who is USE?

Enterprise is made up of people with ideas. That’s academics, entrepreneurs, departmental staff, societies, students, graduates, interns, businesses, employers, the careers service, men, women, boys and girls.

Anyone can help to make up Enterprise. All you need is motivation and we’ll help you with the rest.

What does USE do?

We bring people together to make ideas happen. We create opportunities for you to develop your ideas whether it’s selling T-shirts to raise money for a society, organising a gig or setting up a business. We’re here to help, mentor and support you… and celebrate your success with you.

When do we do it?

The Enterprise Zone is open 9-5, Monday to Friday. You don’t need to book an appointment to come in and speak to somebody. If you prefer, you can call us during office hours and speak to somebody over the phone.

Where are we?

You can’t miss us now that the building’s bright orange. But just in case you can’t find us, all our contact information is on our contacts page.

Even if you’re not planning on setting up your own business, getting involved in enterprising activities is a great way to boost your CV, gain new skills and meet new people. These are skills that can be transferred to your studies, your future employment and your daily life.

And if you do want to work for yourself, come and talk to us. Starting your own business isn’t as scary as you might think, especially when you’ve got support.
